PASTOR LIMPERT VACATION
Pastor Limpert will be out of the office June 3–8. If you are in need of immediate pastoral care during that time, please contact Pastor Wilke (608 350-9681) or Pastor Waldschmidt (414 712-1957) from St. Paul’s in Mauston. Pastor will also be attending a conference at Luther Prep in Watertown on June 9-10 but will still be able to respond to phone or email messages during that time.
FAREWELL AND GODSPEED MR. PETER
Our emergency teacher, Justin Peter will be leaving next week to return to his family and begin preparing for his senior year at MLC. We would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you and recognize Mr. Peter’s service to the Lord and to us this past year at the 10:30am worship service next Sunday, June 8. Anyone who would like to thank him personally with a card or gift is welcome to do so. We will be serving ice cream sundaes and having a fellowship time in the church basement after the service.
CHANGE FOR LIFE
Again, this year, our congregation is participating in the Change for Life Program to support the ministry of New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers. New Beginnings is a WELS based ministry that helps single mothers pave the way to self-sufficiency in a Christ-centered home. Pick up a baby bottle, take it home and fill it with spare change. On Father’s Day, return the filled bottle to church where the money collected will be sent to help the mothers and babies at New Beginnings.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WONEWOC DAYS BREAKFAST!
Panther Parents is looking for a couple more families to help serve breakfast at this year's Wonewoc Days. The date is Saturday, June 14th at the Wonewoc Legion. We're looking for parents and kids to volunteer for one of the two shifts:
Shift 1 - 7-9 am
Shift 2 - 9-11 am
There is a Google Form on the Panther Parents Facebook page to sign up.
HELP NEEDED FOR THE HILLSBORO CHARITY TRACTOR PULL
The Hillsboro Charity Tractor Pull is Friday, August 8 and Saturday August 9 at the Hillsboro Fairgrounds. Our church will be selling pizzas and ice cream Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening. Set up and tear down will be taken care of, but WE NEED VOLUNTEERS for shifts to help in the food stands and selling concessions in the grandstand. There is a sign-up sheet in back or go to our church website to sign up.
MUSIC IN THE PARK—JULY 19
Music in the Park planning is underway, and Panther Parents are looking for some extra help with planning this July 19th event. This year proceeds will help benefit the new ECC and senior center in Hillsboro. If you could help, please contact Rachel Preston (rwobschall@gmail.com) for more information.
