You’ve probably seen Mr. Wurster around the St. Paul’s campuses the past few years. He’s been a member here for the past few years. The Hillsboro campus was his “home” congregation and the church where he grew up.
Mr. Wurster attended Martin Luther Preparatory School in Prairie du Chien and Luther High School in Onalaska. He then attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Secondary education.
Mr. Wurster was called to teach 9th and 10th grade religion at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. He also coached football and weightlifting. He served as the weight training coach for spring athletics as well. Mr. Wurster was then called to serve at Trinity Lutheran in Belle Plaine, MN. He taught 5th and 6th grades and served as athletic director. He also coached volleyball, track, cross country, and softball.
In his free time, Mr. Wurster enjoys watching sports and movies, studying languages, listening to music, and discussing locally made beverages.
Favorite Books: The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose, and Night by Elie Wiesel

Hello! I am Jeff Schultz. I currently serve St. Paul as the homeroom teacher of grades 6-8 and grades 3-8 in the areas of science and social studies. I have served the Lord as a principal/teacher and student teacher supervisor for MLC during the past 41 years at various schools in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska and Antigua, West Indies. My passion is sharing God's Word each day to my students and to strive to be the best teacher that I can in whatever subjects I am teaching. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy fishing and working in my yard. I am blessed to be married to my wife Heidi, have one daughter, 2 beautiful granddaughters that reside in the great state of Iowa, 2 black labs, and a tortoise named Scooter.

Ms. Gernetzke was a member of St. Matthews, South Ridge (baptized and confirmed) and St John’s Kendall most of her life. She lives on the family farm that has been in her family for 125 years.
She attended elementary and high school in Hillsboro, then earned a degree in business education from Viterbo. After working for several years, she returned to Viterbo to earn her teaching accreditation. Finally, she went back to Viterbo one last time to receive her master’s in education. Currently, she is attending Martin Luther College to receive her Ministry certificate.
In her free time, she enjoys going on drives, listening to music, reading, watching movies, and playing with her two dogs, Penny and Nickel (Nickie). Her favorite musical artist is Meatloaf. Her favorite book is The Diary of Anne Frank.

My name is Beth Eckert. I have been teaching for 23 years both in the public school system and now in the parochial schools. I feel very blessed to be able to teach God's Word to our children every day and see them grow! In my personal time, I enjoy photography, reading, and watching movies. I have 6 yr old twin calico cats who greet me when I come home.

Jan has served in various capacities at St. Paul for the last 39 years and has been secretary/administrative assistant since 2010. The thing she enjoys most about her work is the joy in Jesus that she sees in the children of St. Paul's School.
Jan grew up in the Hillsboro area and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1973. She and her husband, Steve were married in 1974.
Jan and Steve enjoy gardening, day trips, and long walks with their dogs in their free time.
