GUEST PASTOR THANK YOU

ZION LUTHERAN COMMEMORATION SERVICE
A service commemorating the history of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elroy and the dedication of a historical marker at the former site of the church building (520 Franklin St., Elroy) will be held today, September 28, at 3:00pm. All are invited to give thanks to God for his gracious work through the congregation over their 136 years.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING OCTOBER 5
There will be a congregational meeting on October 5, following the 10:30 service, to discuss our ministry plans, in particular regarding plans for our next call for an associate pastor. This meeting will serve as a follow-up to the pre-call meeting held with Pastor Jensen, our District President, on September 9. All members are encouraged to attend.
UPCOMING BIBLE STUDY: A TIME FOR EVERYTHING
Our next Sunday Bible study topic begins October 5. Stewardship is the lifelong management of all the resources God has given us. That includes a quickly-depleting resource called “time.” This study will look at how taking the time to manage the time we have left has huge implications on how we individually and as a church use it for Christ and each other. Sunday Bible study is at 9:15 at both campuses.
SERVICE TIMES SURVEY
At the last quarterly meeting, potential changes to our regular service schedule were discussed. A survey is now available to provide input for future discussions. You can either fill out a printed copy of the survey or complete the survey online by visiting stpaulhw.com/worshipsurvey.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
A Bible study just for women meets on Fridays at the Wonewoc campus with coffee and fellowship at 9:00am and the study from 9:30—10:30. The current topic is Seeking a Gentle and Quiet Spirit in a Harsh and Noisy World. If you would like more information, please contact Dianne Pacl at 608-434-2195.
LWMS OFFERING AND FALL RALLY
Our congregation is part of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society, supporting gospel outreach through various WELS ministries. Support for this work comes through regular special offerings. An offering envelope for LWMS was included in the packet last month; if you would like to give toward this work you may still use that envelope or otherwise designate a gift toward LWMS. Gifts for LWMS must be received by October 5. The next LWMS Circuit Rally will be October 18. You can learn more about LWMS at lwms.org.
