LUTHERAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership will once again be hold on January 19–21, 2026, in Chicago. This informative and engaging event is open to all, whether you consider yourself a “leader” or not. Several members have attended the conference in previous years, and it would be good to have another group from the congregation attend the next one. You can learn more at lutheranleadership.com, and printed copies of workshop descriptions are also available. Registration opens later this month.
LADIES AID FALL CHILI SOCIAL
The Ladies’ Aid is hosting a fall chili social on Wednesday evening, October 15, at the Hillsboro Campus. The chili meal will begin at 5:30pm, followed by a service of Prayer at the Close of Day at 6:30pm. St. Paul’s piano students will be playing pre-service music that evening as well.
CALLED WORKER APPRECIATION MONTH POTLUCK
On Sunday, October 26, there will be a potluck meal to celebrate Called Worker Appreciation Month. The meal will be at the Wonewoc Campus following the 10:30 service. Bring a dish to pass and enjoy food and fellowship together as we give thanks to God for his gift of public ministers of the gospel.
SONS OF GOD MEN’S GROUP
A new group event for men, from the youngest to the oldest, will meet for the first time on November 5, 6:30pm at the Wonewoc Campus. This will be a time for fellowship, brotherly encouragement, and digging into Scripture together as we serve and support one another to live out our calling as Sons of God. Talk to Pastor or any of the Elders for more information.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
At last Sunday’s congregation meeting, a decision was made to temporarily pause a call for a second pastor. This decision will be revisited at the February quarterly meeting.
CHURCH CLEANERS—Wonewoc campus
We are looking for cleaners for the rest of October and November and December. If you can help a week, please see the schedule on the bulletin board in the narthex and sign up. Thank you for this service to our congregation.
