QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETING NOVEMBER 1
The quarterly congregation meeting will be held today at the Wonewoc Campus right after the 10:30am worship service. Items on the agenda include, membership changes, elections for trustees, and 2 pastor calls. All members are encouraged to attend. Currently we are in need of nominees to fill 2 trustee positions. There is also an open position (gentleman or lady) on the Cemetery Committee.
LADIES AID BAKE SALE
The Ladies Aid is hosting a bake sale on November 15 after both services in Hillsboro and Wonewoc. They are asking for donations of goodies for this sale. Jams, noodles, candies, etc. are all welcome. Proceeds will be going to support the steeple fund. Come and enjoy some wonderful eats by some very gifted cooks.
ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT
Advent by Candlelight is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, in the Wonewoc Campus church basement. Advent by Candlelight is a beautiful, quiet, reflective event just for women to focus their hearts before the busy Christmas season on the birth of the Savior who brings us salvation and peace. There will be a luncheon and program beginning at 12:00pm. We are looking for table hostesses to decorate a table and provide a light dish or dessert for the meal. This event is for all ladies of any age. Moms with school age daughters are especially encouraged to attend. There are sign-up sheets in back if you are interested or contact Jan Fick for more information. We would like to have a rough idea of those interested in attending or hosting by November 22.
CANTATA PRACTICE
Anyone who is interested in singing for the cantata on Christmas Eve should meet at 6:30pm on Sundays at the Wonewoc Campus. (Sr. Choir will meet just before, at 6:00pm.) If you can’t make every practice, that is okay. Come make a joyful noise as we celebrate our Savior’s birth!
BUTTER BRAIDS ARE COMING!
St. Paul’s School is again taking orders for Butter Braids™. These pastries are delicious high-quality products that everyone enjoys. They come in several different flavors plus a caramel roll or cinnamon roll option as well. Students are taking orders or there is an order form in back of church. Order deadline is Nov. 10.
CHURCH CLEANERS NEEDEDWONEWOC
We still have extra spaces on the calendar for November and December for church cleaners. Please, if you could help even once, it would be much appreciated. There is a sign up- on the bulletin board in the narthex. It takes about 2 hours once a week.
POINSETTIA PRE ORDER
If anyone is interested in having a poinsettia on the altar in memory of a loved one for Christmas, order forms from Blossoms and Bouquets are in the back of the church. Order by Monday, November 23, for discounted savings. There is a box in the back of church for payment along with the order form. You may also call Blossoms and Bouquets directly at 608-464-3240 to order.
PRAYERS FOR ALL SAINTS’ DAY NOVEMBER 15
On November 15 we will commemorate the minor festival of All Saints’ Day on which we remember with thanksgiving believers who have finished their earthly life and now live with Jesus in heaven as the Saints Triumphant. During our worship service that day we will include a prayer of thanks for believers in Jesus who died during the previous twelve months, including the names of those among us at St. Paul’s who have gone home to heaven. If you would like to include in our prayers a name of a believing friend or family member who has died this past year, please contact Pastor Wilke or the church/school office. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. (Revelation 14:13).
THANKSGIVING WORSHIP
Due to scheduling during the vacancy, there will be only 1 service at the Hillsboro/Wonewoc Campus for Thanksgiving worship this year. This service will take place on Wednesday, November 25 at 1:00pm at the Wonewoc Campus. If you can’t make that service, here are some other options for Thanksgiving worship:

The World Experiences Hope: This Christmas Hope is revealed at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s “Hope Revealed” Live Nativity Event at St. Paul’s Mauston. Saturday December 5th, from 4pm-7pm.
