Bible Study Schedule | 2025–2026
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
The Council of Nicaea and Its Creed: A 1700-Year History
September 7–28
Throughout its 1700-year history, the Nicene Creed has helped Christians keep our eyes focused on the truths that Scripture reveals about God who created us, redeemed us, and sanctified us in the one true faith. This study explores the history of this creed and the practical questions answered by the Bible truths it summarizes.
A Time For Everything
October 5–26
Stewardship is the lifelong management of all the resources God has given us. That includes a quickly-depleting resource called “time.” This study will look at how taking the time to manage the time we have left has huge implications on how we individually and as a church use it for Christ and each other.
Lifestyle Witnessing
November 2—December 21
This study helps Christians think about their roles as bearers of God's good news. It looks into the subject of evangelism, giving encouragement and practical advice along the way.
James: Faith in Action
December 28—February 1
The Epistle of James can be a challenging book. Martin Luther once remarked that is an “epistle of straw” because of how little gospel it seems to contain! Yet through James, the Holy Spirit gives Christians invaluable guidance for how we live out the faith he has given us. This study will show how this book fits together with the rest of Scripture and how these words apply to our lives in many different ways.
Jude: Contending for the Faith
February 8–15
This brief epistle encourages Christians to stand firm in the face of false teaching and worldly influence. In this study, we will see how James draws on Old Testament history for examples of how we too can contend for the faith delivered to the saints once and for all, empowered by God our Savior.
The Proper Distinction Between Law and Gospel
February 22—March 29
The distinction between the Law and the Gospel has been a distinctive feature of Lutheran teaching from the Reformation to the present. In fact, it is a distinction given to us by God in Scripture. This study will help us to better recognize and apply this distinction as God’s Word works in our lives.
A Walk Through the Book of Revelation
April 12—May 31
The Book of Revelation was given for our comfort. It depicts in striking imagery the struggles that believers face in this life as the Church Militant. But just as striking are its pictures of our heavenly victory in Christ as the Church Triumphant. This survey of Revelation will help us see the confidence we have in Christ for this life and the life everlasting.
19 Minutes with Luther
June—August
Our summer study of Luther’s Small Catechism continues. This year we’ll wrap up our catechism study with the Keys & Confession and the Lord’s Prayer.
