O Come Let Us Adore Him,
Christ the Lord!
Children’s Christmas Service
December 21 | 4:00pm - Wonewoc Campus
Hope. Peace. Joy Love.
They are words that appear often this time of year. They are displayed in lights and signs. They are heard in music almost everywhere we go. They are shared on cards and in personal greetings. Yet even when the words are all around us, the reality of what they point to so often seem to elude us.
So where can we find true hope, peace, joy, and love? Where can we find hope that does not disappoint us, peace that surpasses all understanding, joy that never ends, and love that covers us unconditionally? Only in Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Join us as, through word and song, we reflect on the wondrous gift God has given us, the gift that is ours not only at Christmas-time but throughout the year. We rejoice that in Jesus, God gives us hope, peace, joy, and love, now and forever.

Christ the Savior Is Born: Heavenly Hosts Sing Alleluia
Families cherish their Christmas traditions. Year after year, they decorate the tree with the same ornaments, play the same music, bake the same Christmas cookies. Without asking, family members know when they will open presents. If you try to change your family’s Christmas traditions, you might be in trouble! When it comes to family Christmases, people generally don’t like things to change.
Because our celebration of Christmas has so many unchanging traditions, we might miss the fact that the birth of Christ the Savior meant radical change for the world. Would the change be an improvement or another step in decline? The angels answer the question. They don’t sing “Watch out for impending doom!” They sing “glory” and “peace,” praising God with alleluias!
Christmas Cantata
December 24 | 4:00pm - Wonewoc Campus
A New and Glorious Morn!
A service of lessons and carols presented by our Christmas Cantata Choir. The birth of Christ was the dawning of a new day; the old is gone and in him all things are made new. Trace the promises of the coming Savior that God made through his ancient prophets, and see all those promises fulfilled in Jesus. These promises were not only fulfilled by Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, but continue to be fulfilled as wait in eager expectation for Christ’s glorious return. Through a blending of new and familiar lyrics and ageless memories, this service leads us to rejoice in the dawning of God’s love as Christ brings us the light of salvation as a new and glorious morn.
Christmas Day
December 25 | 8:00am - Hillsboro Campus & 10:30am - Wonewoc Campus
Christ the Savior Is Born: Holy Infant So Tender and Mild
Jesus has been God from eternity, holy and majestic. When we look tenderly at the holy infant, we are looking at the same God who once told the prophet Moses, “No one may see me and live.” Yet, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds all saw their holy God and survived. How? God became human, hiding his glory within flesh, so that he could come to us without instilling fear or dread.
A famous theologian once said, “We are to think of the Lord’s birth, where the Word became flesh, not as a past event which we recall, but as a present reality on which we gaze.” It’s not that Christ the Savior was born. It’s that Christ the Savior is born.
