DIVINE CALL
Pastor Brett Nauman has returned the call to serve here at St. Pau’s. We thank him for his deliberations and continue to keep him and Trinity, Keil in our prayers. Pastor Daniel Waldschmidt is still holding the call to serve as our pastor. He currently serves as a professor of foreign languages at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. His email is waldscdw@mlc-wels.edu.
FAITHFUL BEGINNINGS ECC
On Sunday, the voters of our congregation made the difficult decision to close Faithful Beginnings. For whatever reason, we have been unable to attract enough children to make it feasible to continue operating the center. For this reason, we will cease operation on Friday, October 30, 2026. If you have any questions, please reach out to our trustees’ members. They would be happy to talk to you.
SUNDAY SCHOOL BEGINS OCTOBER 18
Sunday school is starting on October 18 at 9:15am at the Hillsboro Campus. If you would like your child to attend, please contact Heather Mobley at 608-475-9688. We would like to make sure there is enough materials for all.
QUARTERLY VOTER’S MEETINGNOVEMBER 1
The quarterly congregation meeting will be held at the Wonewoc Campus on November 1, right after the 10:30am worship service. Items on the agenda include, membership changes, elections for trustees, and at least 1 pastor call. Currently we are in need of nominees for 2 trustees. If you are interested in serving your Savior in this way or know of someone who would be willing to be nominated, please contact Steve Mitchell at 608-572-1747. There is also an open position (gentleman or lady) on the Cemetery Committee.
HELP NEEDED—ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT
We are looking for a coordinator or coordinators to plan our annual ladies Advent by Candlelight Event. There is a service format available from WELS Women’s Ministry and much of the planning blueprint is already in place. If you are interested, please talk to Jan Fick.
LADIES AID BAKE SALE
The Ladies Aid will be having a bake sale on November 8 after both services in Hillsboro and Wonewoc. Proceeds will be going to support the steeple fund.
