Announcements: January 4, 2026
THANK YOU
From all of our called workers and staff, thank you to all those who gave various gifts at this Christmas time. Thank you also to everyone who contributed in different ways to our special Christmas services and all year long with their time and talents. We are truly grateful for your generosity and your prayerful support. A Blessed New Year to All!
CHURCH CLEANERS—WONEWOC CAMPUS
There is a sign-up sheet for cleaners for the year on bulletin board in the narthex in Wonewoc. PLEASE consider signing up for 1 or more weeks to help! Since there is no line item in the budget for a church custodian, we rely on the willingness of volunteers to keep God’s house clean and tidy as befitting him. It takes just few hours each week. You can clean alone or team up with friends and family members to accomplish the task. Someone will show you what to do if this is your first time. Call the office (608-464-321) if you have questions.
JAMES: FAITH IN ACTION
For the next few weeks Bible study Adult Bible Class will be studying the Epistle of James. Through James, the Holy Spirit gives Christians invaluable guidance for how we live out the faith he has given us. This study will show how this book fits together with the rest of scripture and how these words apply to our lives in many different ways. Bible study is at 9:15am at both campuses.
ECC UPDATES
After delays on the state's part, the pre-licensure consultant inspection is scheduled for January 7. This begins the final phase before the full licensure is completed. In the meantime, hiring is in progress, allowing for any additional training needed to be completed prior to completion of licensing and opening. Minor final touches to the facilities and other preparations are also being done.
WONEWOC CAMPUS STEEPLE REPAIR INFORMATION
It has been determined that both steeples, (particularly the clock steeple) at the Wonewoc Campus, are in need of repair fairly soon. The trustees contacted Krause Construction, who specializes in structural repair in churches, to assess the situation and provide a quote on what it will take to do the job, with work to begin in the spring. The cost will be around $111,000.00. The trustees are recommending approval of this project. More information will be provided at the February quarterly meeting for approval by the congregation.
CHRISTMAS UN-DECORATING
We would like to get the Christmas decorations down at the Wonewoc campus next Friday January 9, starting right after school. Students and parents are encouraged to lend a hand. Please come help if you can!
